Honors Acquired by Softimage Founder

Across years this program has underwent a small number of changes. One of which was the development of the module ACTOR a feature for lifelike animation, for which Daniel Langlois the originator of Softimage received an Oscar for Scientific and Engineering Merit from the AMPAS.In this particular feature for the first time the entire world has seen the light of Inverse Kinematics. Other modifications that were introduced were the simulation and dynamics instruments. These were channels that offered the user capability to animate things via the movements of a computer mouse, microphone recording and even the employment of motion capture systems.
